Ignatian Spirituality 101: In the Footsteps of the Pilgrim – From Pamplona to Manresa

What is Ignatian Spirituality? How and why is Ignatian Spirituality relevant in contemporary times? How does Ignatian Spirituality inform me about my life? How and where should I start learning about Ignatian Spirituality?

If you are seeking answers to these questions, you may wish to sign up for “Ignatian Spirituality 101: In the Footsteps of the Pilgrim – From Pamplona to Manresa”. Ignatian Spirituality 101 is the first of a series of study retreats serving as a gentle introduction to Ignatian Spirituality through the prayerful reading and study of the Autobiography of St. Ignatius of Loyola (Chapters 1 to 3). Retreatants are also invited to reflect on their own lives and spiritual experiences in light of the life of St. Ignatius.

The program consists of input sessions, periods for personal prayer and reflection, group sharing and access to spiritual direction. Participants are expected to have some basic understanding and experience in prayer in the context of a retreat, and comfortable with silence.

Details of the “Ignatian Spirituality 101” program are:

Venue: Kingsmead Centre for Ignatian Spirituality and Counseling (8 Victoria Park Road, Singapore 266492)

Date and Time: Friday January 6 (8pm) to Sunday January 8, 2023 (5pm)**

Cost: $210 per person (for accommodation in individual air-conditioned rooms; lunch and dinner are not provided but a pantry with simple breakfast food, beverages, snacks and fruits are at your disposal)

Pre-requisite: Must have some basic understanding and experience in prayer in the context of a retreat or have attended programs such as “Prayer 101”.

Special Requirements: Participants must be fully vaccinated (as defined by the Ministry of Health, Singapore)

Mass will be celebrated on Saturday and Sunday during the retreat.

**Participants are expected to arrive at Kingsmead Centre at 7:30pm on January 6, 2023. The program ends at 5pm, January 8, 2023.

Ignatian Spirituality 101 is organized by the Kingsmead Centre for Ignatian Spirituality and Counseling, and will be facilitated by Fr. Jerome Leon, SJ and team.
